Who is our target market?

Generation to Generation is a luxury product line that is especially formulated for pregnant women, those wishing to become pregnant, or those who are already breast-feeding.

Why do we have “heart and soul” in our products?

Co-Founders, and sisters, Karen Young and Elizabeth Leonard, knew that most skin care lines on the market contain ingredients any expecting mother would not want to expose her developing fetus to. Most lines claiming to direct their products to pregnant women focus on belly and foot creams. Some even contain chemicals proven to have toxins which may cause concern for an unborn. As a mother, and as women, the sisters found the major areas of body care were not yet fully addressed, in a much safer way, with specific reference to the fetus and its mother. They decided to address the basics of daily care, thus creating safe products such as shampoo, conditioner, body and face moisturizer. These areas are typically maintained with over the counter products containing ingredients which have been clinically proven to be harmful to the developing unborn. Now, with Generation to Generation Skin and Hair Care, a Mother–to–be is able to have luxury products she can use daily which will not contain those harmful ingredients. Generation to Generation is dedicated to protecting the baby-to-be while keeping Mama beautiful. We care deeply about keeping all generations healthy.

What are we doing to donate future portions of proceeds to babies and children
who need it most?

Pregnancy welcomes a whole new world to each women it touches. To give back, Generation to Generation wishes to touch the lives of children who need everything from a blanket and a teddy bear to sleep with in a homeless shelter, to life altering research to facilitate better lives for children.

Generation to Generation pledges to donate a portion of proceeds to deserving organizations that directly impact the lives of babies and children. At the one year mark of our launch, we will be honored to begin donating a portion of our proceeds, on an ongoing basis.

Is the pregnant consumer increasing her awareness level about cosmetics and demanding luxury and safety combined?

Yes. This is the dawn of a new era in skin and body care. Just by learning about us now, you are participating in the wave of increased awareness generating new ways of thinking about health and luxury in the same product. Pregnant women are increasingly conscious of toxins from cosmetics reaching their unborn. Media outlets are reaching a wide range of consumers to report on harmful ingredients. Generation to Generation was created when the founders who were trying to become pregnant found nothing on the market that was “clean” and without carcinogens and reproductive toxins. Market research showed that almost 100% of store clerks in the cosmetics industry reported that pregnant women ask them daily which cosmetics are most “safe” for use in pregnancy. Clerks reported they did not know what to say, nor did they have a product that could serve their needs. Belly creams and foot scrubs were all that could be offered, yet most contained ingredients that are ranked as possibly harmful if passed through the blood stream from skin absorption.

Are our products tested?

Yes, we work with two independent labs for safety assurance to bring you the best products. We do not nor will ever test on animals. In addition, our formulator and head chemist is an authorized safety assessor for the European Union’s EEC Cosmetics Directive. We are also Campaign for Safe Cosmetics Company Compact Signers. We have designed our formula using this Skin Deep Website, to ensure that our products have always used the most current research and data on cosmetics from the time of product conception. As a new era of cosmetics is being born, we are proud to substantiate the efficacy of our products scientifically. Our products are also Dermatology tested. Our standards for safety are inspired by the strict cosmetics regulations of the European Union. Using the EU standards for Cosmetics Directives is the heart that pumps G to G's 'Mother lion' soul. As a safe campaign company compact signer, we are required to adhere to their standards annually. The Safe Cosmetics Campaign has been a great source of inspiration, and we encourage you to visit their skin deep database to see safety ratings on the cosmetics you use now.

Will G to G sell internationally?

Yes. We are formulated to be approved by the strict regulations and cosmetics laws of the European Union. The EU has banned over 1100 ingredients that the US FDA still allows. Currently, we have applications and dossiers being filed by International Cosmetics & Regulatory Specialists, L.L.C., for international sales and approval. Sales will start in the US prestige market, and grow to global prestige markets.
